Flores De Mayo: Santacruzan

Happy Sunday! :D

I'm here again! So, if you've read my last post I mentioned there that I am joining a Santacruzan. It happened last Friday (May, 31) at St. Ignatius Cathedral.

The title given to me was "Reyna Esther"
"Reyna Esther - the biblical Jewish who secured her countrymen from death and destruction through timely intervention with the King Xerxes. She carries a scepter." -Wikipedia

This is actually my second time to participate in this event. The first time I was Reyna Sheba.
Joining in this kind of event is not that easy because (1) You'll  find a guy who is willing to be your escort, in my case I asked few guys but they are "busy". (2) this requires a LOT of effort to design your umbrella, find or make your props(the one I was holding) and to look gorgeous all the time  (3) You are going to walk (because it's a procession) very long.

Talk about finding an escort, I really had a hard time finding one because the guy I asked backed out hours before the event (oh my gosh I was so stressed when he told me he can't). Upon knowing that he's not available I called my dad and asked him to find me an escort. Luckily he found Levy, and he agreed but he said he doesn't have anything to wear. We let him borrow dad's suit from my debut. So problem solved! :) He really saved the day! hah
Second problem I encountered that day was my make-up artist (slash our neighbor) didn't arrived.. Back-up plan?.. I will do my own make-up. I wasn't even sure if it looked good or horrible. lol

Here are some photos that day, I wanna thank my mum for being the photographer :)

My fresh face.. though I was a bit late and Levy was texting me that the mass about to start

My scepter ( I did it myself btw)

:)

While walking.. Hello Levy! :)

At home, because we don't have a photo together during the event. Hi Elsie's head!

It was tiring but I had fun because I had a little chat with Levy, we were laughing about random things while walking. There's free food given after the procession so YAAAY! haha.

Before I end this post I want to thank few people.. my Mom for all the efforts and for letting me join, to Dad for finding an escort, to Levy for saying yes (forgive me 'coz the umbrella is heavy), Ate Eka for doing my hair and me for my make-up (ha ha!)

And that's how the month of May ended for me. How about you?
Happy June and Goodluck on going back to school (if you are), I wish you great school year!

I have to say bye now, I've talked too much. Thanks for reading! xx
